  • CVPC has responded to the A35 Charmouth to Yellowham Hill Scheme for safety and associated improvements through Morcombelake. See our response here.

  • Dorset Council have an interactive cycle map on their website, here. Maps are available for Lyme Regis, Bridport and surrounding towns and villages.
 
  • Traveline South West was set up by local authorities, is updated weekly, and provides real-time bus and train information as well as an enhanced journey planner.

​Dorset Highways Winter Service Policy and Adverse Weather Plan
ROAD CLOSURES

  • TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BERNE LANE, WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BERNE LANE, WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM between its junction with Becklands Lane and its junction with A35. It will come into operation between 0800 and 1600 on 10 October 2023 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 10 October 2023.
  • EMERGENCY TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF UNNAMED ROAD, FISHPOND BOTTOM. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along UNNAMED ROAD, FISHPOND BOTTOM between its junction with Sandy Lane and the entrance to Sheepwash Farm, a distance of approximately 175 metres. It came in to operation on 18 September 2023 and can remain in force for up to 21 days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20 September 2023.
  • TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BLUNTSHAY LANE, WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BLUNTSHAY LANE, WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM, between Peace Farm and Stubbs Cottage. It will come into operation on 04 September 2023 and remain in force for 18 months however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 September 2023.
  • PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF LOWER SEA LANE, CHARMOUTH. LOWER SEA LANE, CHARMOUTH between the entrance to Touchwood and Hensleigh House. These works are programmed to commence on 15 October 2023.
  • PROPOSED TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BERNE LANE, WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM. BERNE LANE, WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM between its junction with Becklands Lane and its junction with A35. These works are programmed to commence between 0800 and 1600 on 10 October 2023.
  • PROPOSED WORKS IN YOUR AREA - Peace Farm - Culvert works. The road will be closed daily between 4-22 September 2023.
